PG Saathi is operated by Marnel Technologies Ltd. By using PG Saathi, you agree that:
- Payments flow P2P over UPI directly to your bank account. The platform is not a payment aggregator (RBI compliance).
- Your data (tenant names, phone numbers, contracts) is stored on PG Saathi's own server in Mumbai, India.
- Aadhaar: lists, forms, exports and messages use only the last 4 digits. You may choose to record a tenant's full 12-digit Aadhaar in the Aadhaar vault for AMC / police inspections; it is stored encrypted with a passphrase only you know. Keep the passphrase safe — without it the number cannot be opened, and we cannot recover it.
- 0% GST on PG rent depends on Notification No. 04/2024-Central Tax (Rate), entry 12A: up to ₹20,000 per person per month, for a continuous stay of at least 90 days. PG Saathi does not record rent above ₹20,000 per person per month, does not accept a contract under 90 days, and tells you when a stay ended before 90 days (GST may apply). It does not check every condition of the exemption — whether it applies to you is for you and your tax adviser to decide.
- You can ask for your data to be erased. Erasure runs 30 days after you confirm (you can cancel in that time). Records that tax law requires to be kept are anonymised rather than deleted.
- The service runs on WhatsApp, so some data goes to service providers: Meta (WhatsApp) carries every message and the phone numbers involved; Sarvam AI (India) and Google Vertex AI (Mumbai) read message text to understand commands, and Google Vertex AI reads ledger photos you upload for import. We do not sell contact details. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
